How do I install the extension package?
Unzip the downloaded archive folder. Open your Chromium browser, navigate to
chrome://extensions, toggle Developer Mode on in the upper right header, click Load unpacked, and select your extracted folder.
How does the split-screen sidecar window open?
Click the pin icon inside the main extension window header. This detaches the panel layout into its own standalone window that you can drag and align side-by-side with your browser pages.
Can I share my custom folders with others?
Yes. The control dashboard lets you export any folder configuration as a simple file. Other users running Tabsy can import this file to mirror your exact folder structures instantly.
What permissions does Tabsy actually request?
Tabsy's manifest strictly limits requests to the
tabs, bookmarks, and storage permissions needed to organize your layouts. It does not transmit this data to any external server. All routing and organization happens entirely on your local machine.
Can I inspect the code before I trust it?
Yes. The downloaded folder contains unminified JavaScript. You can read every line of code before loading it, or view the free core source on GitHub.
